THE 2018 EDITION OF WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES® RAISES OVER $32,000 FOR THE NEW SOUTH EAST SEXUAL ASSAULT CENTRE (PRESS RELEASE)
June 26, 2018; Moncton - $32,734,00 was donated to the new South East Sexual Assault Centre by the event Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®, held in Moncton on the 25th May.
"This sum will allow us to strengthen our operations, including training for our workers and volunteers, short- and long-term response services, escort during medical, police and legal procedures, and information and guidance services for survivors," explains Geneviève L. Latour, director of the centre.

MEDAVIE VIENT EN AIDE AU CARREFOUR POUR FEMMES (L'ÉTOILE)
June 25, 2018 - Le Carrefour pour femmes reçoit une subvention annuelle sur trois ans de 75 000 $ pour aider son Centre d'agression sexuelle du Sud-Est. Cette somme fournie par Medavie permettra d'offrir de meilleurs services de soutien pour les femmes victimes d'agressions sexuelles dans la région.

June 22, 2018 - Medavie Health Foundation is donating a $75,000 grant to Crossroads for Women, a Moncton-based women's organization. Crossroads for Women will receive $25,000 a year for three years, which will go toward its South-East Sexual Assault Centre to ensure victims "receive timely access to trauma-informed care,", a press release from Medavie stated.
CROSSROADS FOR WOMEN RECEIVES MULTI-YEAR FUNDING FROM MEDAVIE (PRESS RELEASE)
June 21, 2018 ; Moncton, NB – Crossroads for Women is receiving a $75,000 grant over three years to support their South-East Sexual Assault Centre, ensuring victims receive timely access to trauma-informed care. The organization provides a variety of services and supports to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, including counselling, crisis intervention, transitional housing, and community outreach. This grant brings Medavie’s support of Crossroads for Women to $100,000.

May 25, 2018 - A Moncton woman says sharing her story of being a sexual assault survivor has opened the door to helping others. Marie-Hélène Michaud posted a video to her Facebook page in French this time last year. In the video, she reveals that she was sexually assaulted as a child and also at the age of 17.

Il était attendu ce nouveau centre situé à Moncton au Nouveau-Brunswick. Carrefour pour femmes qui chapeaute le nouvel organisme a mis sa confiance entre les mains de Geneviève Latour qui termine sa maîtrise en travail social à l'Université de Moncton.
La vision de Geneviève Latour s'enracine dans son désir de justice sociale. Devenir directrice du centre est une façon de vivre son militantisme.
